Transportation

WUMCO has provided transportation for medical and social services needs since our beginnings in 1968. Volunteers driving their own cars provide this service. Especially needed are drivers willing to personally escort needy people from home to and from their doctor's office, often assisting with preparation of a client's papers. In 2005 volunteers drove approximately 9,551 miles, transporting 229 clients.
